How trendy is the housing market in 2023?
As a buyer shopping for a home, here's what you need to know about the latest housing trends. I'm Brendan Moran with 5Star Real Estate.
Upward towards the suburbs
From sustainability to smart homes, here's what we're looking at in 2023, housing experts are predicting that home prices are going to continue to rise in 2023. Of course, that depends exactly on where you are specifically, but the general trend is upward. Also, remote work is going to continue to accelerate, so people are going to be looking for places where they can work from home and have good technology infrastructure. Buyers are also focusing on sustainability and eco-friendly features like solar panels and upgraded technology, and the move is going to continue to be from urban areas to suburban and rural. Sure, people are buying homes in cities, but the general move is out towards the suburbs. The trend toward smart homes and upgraded technology is going to continue.
People want to be able to control their house with the sound of their voice around a smartpad, and also what we're seeing is that fires want houses that are already done. There's not a lot of appetite for buying a fixer and then waiting a year to hire a contractor and spend more money to fix it up the way you want. People just don't have the patience for it these days.
If you're thinking about making the move, the next step is to get in touch with my team and we can walk you through all the steps. Thanks. I'm Brendan Moran with Five Star Real Estate.
